We recommend using Google Analytics to most of our customers. It’s really easy to get started with and just keeps on delivering value the more you learn about it. As it’s also linked to other Google tools like Adwords it gets more and more powerful the more of Google’s tools you use.
One of the great features is that you can share your Google Analytics reports with other Google account holders. This is one way we monitor the improvements to our customers sites.
To share your Google Analytics reports all you have to do is follow these few simple steps. Firstly log into your Google Analytics account and click on the site you want to view the analytics for. You will see at the bottom of the list of sites a link to “User Manager”.
Click on User Manager. Look at the image above, I have added an arrow to the words where you should click.
Now, click “Add User”. See above where I have a red arrow pointing to these words as well.
Finally, you should enter the email address of the person to whom you are granting access to your Google Analytics reports. (Note: This person must have a valid Google email address.) If you want the person you are adding to be able to help you with installing analytics then be sure to make them an Administrator otherwise they will only be able to see your reports but not be able to access any of the functions to set up Analytics for you. (If you are doing this as one of our customers we will provide you with the email address to use.)
And you should then add the domain(s) that you would like the person to be able to see/manage reports on. (You can add as many domains as you like.)
Once you’ve set up the type of access (Administrator/View reports only) and which website profiles you want them to have access to all you need to do is click save and you are done.
